This year I have started to offer a new senior portrait session called The Breakaway. The Breakaway session gives a senior much more time and a lot more location options. We have driven as far as Santa Cruz as well as San Francisco for many of those sessions. These sessions are great for those that have a lot of ideas for Senior portraits or want something that is different than everyone else. Unlike our regular portrait sessions that are booked over the phone, a Breakaway session starts off with a consultation to plan out the different looks and scenes that we want to cover in the session. We can plan out locations and clothing and then set the shooting date. The Breakaway sessions will often last about four hours or as long as a full day.
Coming up in this blog will be some of the sessions that we did. Most sessions had so many incredible images from the seniors that I will post a few of the images up but also post the video that shows a lot more and you can see how much you can get from a Breakaway session.
We’re going to start off with Shelby, a 2010 Senior at the Athenian school in Danville. On this session we went from mild to wild. We have very casual back to nature looks, skater girl, as well as city girl looks. We also did something totally different piecing together our own outfit for a very artistic look.
